New to OysterRacing... Curious in regards to past races....we are putting together a team of 6, and from what I've read, you need 3 team members to participate on any given leg, at a minimum...so I assume those team members who aren't as fit as others can take a breather while the rest of the team does the leg? Is that accurate?

We are stoked for this type of race, but just want to be sure some of the team won't be holding back the more fit part of the team - is this feasible?

And, I see the average miles are roughly 20-30 throughout the race, but does anyone have a rough breakdown of how much of that is running/biking/public transportation, etc?

Thanks!

RE:New to OysterRacing... Hey DJ Seattle!
Great questions, you have the right idea on the Relay team. A minimum of three people need to be on the course at a time. However for your more fit racers, they are welcome to go out on as many legs as they want. For example someone on the relay team could do the whole race. One leg you may have 3 people out the next 4 people, 5 people on the third leg, etc.

As far as mileage over the course teams will run an average of 6 - 9 miles (not all on one leg) and bike 17 - 22 miles (not all on one leg).

Hope that helps feel free to call or email with any additional questions.

Hope to see you on the start line!
